A family story

La Petite Pension was created with one simple idea: offering travelers a place that feels welcoming, personal and genuine.

A Franco-Philippine family

Emelyn was born and raised in Palawan, while Olivier has called the island home for nearly fifteen years after travelling extensively around the world.

Together with our four children — Tamara, Satues, Zia and Eliseo — and our granddaughter Eleanor, we have created a guesthouse where guests are welcomed with warmth rather than formality.

A small guesthouse by choice

With only seven rooms, we have deliberately chosen to remain a small family guesthouse.

It allows us to offer a more personal experience and share our love for Palawan with every visitor.

Olivier's Palawan projects

Olivier is the founder of palawan.live and several destination-specific travel websites covering Balabac, Port Barton, El Nido–Coron expeditions and speedboat transfers.

Most of these specialist resources are currently written in French, reflecting his long-standing work with French-speaking travellers. Together, they simply give a sense of the years spent exploring the island — which is where the advice shared with guests at La Petite Pension comes from.
